The exterior design of Lixiang i8 combines the design elements of Lixiang L8 and MEGA. The front face adopts a "bullet head" shape and is equipped with a signature star ring light design located below the front windshield, which is exactly the same as MEGA. The front surround shape is similar to the Lixiang L series models. The headlights are integrated on both sides of the surround, which has a good integrity. With the smooth body lines, the overall visual effect has both a sense of technology and power.

The Lixiang i8 all-electric SUV features a wraparound cabin design and a light-colored interior. The metal trim has been changed from matte silver to champagne gold. The steering wheel maintains the family-style design, featuring a small instrument panel and a new speaker cover in front. The interior door panels are leather-wrapped. Features include dual screens and an AR-HUD head-up display. The seats are all-new, with a zero-gravity seat in the second row on the right. The front seats have power vents. The rear door panels also feature speakers, interior door handles, window lift buttons, and rear sunshades.

For reference, the Ideal MEGA is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system with a total system power of 400 kilowatts and a total torque of 542 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers in 5.5 seconds and is equipped with a 102.7 kWh battery pack. It has a CLTC pure electric range of 710 km and uses the Ideal 5C charging station with a peak charging power of over 520 kilowatts. A 12-minute charge can replenish 500 kilometers of energy.
